on-camera field monitor

  • Display is very bright and easy to view during harsh daylight. Lots of monitoring tools like waveforms. Construction is ok...
  • This is a must have monitor for any camera, especially for the blackmagic pocket cinemas. It’s not only 2600 nits, but the 1920x1080 picture it produces is beautiful and not valued enough! It’s a light enough monitor that won’t add any extra weight on rigs and gimbals and small enough to fit in your camera bag.
  • This monitor will certainly do the trick if you want an external monitor to help get better exposure and to make sure shots are in focus. Those are the main tasks of this monitor for me because sometimes I find that the flip screens on smaller cameras like my sony a6400 and sony zv-1 can make it a little hard to judge those things due to the size. The 5.5" screen is a great size for seeing everything clearly. On top of that there are added tools to help you such as false colors, zebras, focus peaking and picture zoom. One of the nicest features is the touch screen. You can use it to quickly adjust the brightness of your screen or adjust the volume of your headphones. If you swipe up from the bottom of the screen you can get access to a quick menu of your favorite functions and it is very easy to change those functions to be whatever you want. Also I like the feature that allows you to flip the screen upside down and horizontally when filming yourself. It's so easy to operate if you set it as a quick button too. For an added bonus there are two physical buttons that can be programmed as well. I really like that feature. They are in a very easy place to access so muscle memory sets in very easily. And it comes with a battery that lasts for about 2 hours at full brightness. This monitor is a great buy!
  • Amazing quality and feature set at a very affordable price. It comes with everything you need.
  • The monitor comes with an L-bracket which has a cold-shoe mount so can mount directly onto your camera, but bare in mind that whilst the monitor isn't overly heavy, it does become weighty when used with batteries, so would advise a suitable camera cage should you be moving around whilst filming to relieve any stress on the camera. I've only been using this whilst static (camera on tripod) so I have no need for a cage.Once mounted, it's literally "Plug in
  • Say goodbye to your tiny stock camera monitor. The picture quality of this device is unmatched and for someone on a budget you can't beat the price with all the features and extras. The ability to upload and preview LUTs is SO exciting and the amount of customization in the UI is incredible. If you're new to videography and on a budget this is a MUST HAVE!
  • This monitor has so many great features ill just start with the few i love. Luts this makes shooting in log or whatver format you shoot in so much more simpler just load your lut and shoot it can load up to 32 luts "via usb c" .Then next thing is the power pass through . where you can mount your wireless video module it takes a Np series battery id suggest np--770 since your powering your monitor and wireless video transmitter.my only suggestion is that it have more NITS, This is great for a director’s monitor or client visuals
  • Great for outdoors shooting with direct sunlight.I purchased this monitor because I wanted a very bright monitor for outdoors shooting that supports LUTs at an affordable price, as other monitors with such brightness are way more expensive. The monitor is excellent for this job. The 2200 nit it gets are enough to shoot under direct sunlight with no hood.Quality of the panel is very good. It has nice colors and contrast, with settings to adjust saturation, hue, temperature, etc.The touchscreen is very responsive with no lag and you can use it to get quick shortcuts right from the screen, such as adjust brightness and volume and get to the main menu. There's a great variety of monitoring tools to use, all placed in a nice menu. Loading the LUTs you use is done through SD cards (you must format it at FAT32).It has three buttons on the top which can be assigned with various shortcuts. Great usefulness while shooting and you don't want to waste time.Construction and build quality is very good for the price, but you should be careful not to drop it since it has a plastic body. The tilt/swivel arm is very helpful for adjusting the monitor to the angle you want with one hand. Also, it comes with all types of HDMI in the package, so you won't need to buy a new one. Some other features: the twin batteries are hot swappable, it has a sensor for auto adjusting the brightness, you can passthrough the HDMI signal, and it has an indicator for the battery capacity (which is quite rare). The biggest con is that it gets quite hot when the brightness is set to high levels. After 2 months of using it I am very satisfied with the product. It's a great value for it's price, and using it during a shooting is a great experience since it's a very practical tool. Outdoors shooting in the sunlight is no longer a problem.
  • This monitor is amazing! It is bright enough to see everything even if you are on the beach. This item is very affordable and a complete. I would highly recommend this monitor.
  • This monitor is AWESOME! I got this for its brightness since I tend to shoot more outside in the sun for run and gun purposes and it's perfect! The features are great and I love how the menu is super simple to access via touchscreen. I also love the 6' size vs the 5'
  • First thing, wow this monitor is super bright in the midday sun!! My main reason for purchase was it's 2200 nits. Compared to my other 7" monitor this blows it away in that regard. It's definitely a nice size also, 7" seems to be my preferred monitor size these days no matter what rig i'm using. Build is nice, it's lightweight and most importantly easy to use. Customizable buttons on top also help a lot when operating quickly. I do most of my work shooting outdoors so this is a no-brainer. Has all the features you need too like false color, LUTs, all the scopes, anamorphic etc etc...some competitors may have slightly more rugged feel, but how can you beat the price point of this monitor? Definitely recommend this to anyone shooting video...loving it!!
  • This monitor is higher quality than I expected at this price point. The size is perfect for me and I really like how bright the screen is, it's even visible outdoors during the day which is priority number one for me. It has plenty of inputs which means plenty of options for a variety of setups. Overall this is just a really dependable, easy to use, simple, affordable monitor and I like it a lot.
