I wanted a bigger alternative for me Andycine A6 for tripod work and especially shooting outside. I gave C7 a go, and was not dissappointed:C7 offers features (touch controls, wide variety of colors meters etc) unlike any other monitor in this price group. Color accuracy is good, you even get colorscopes to make sure that your skin tones are illuminated and colored precisely. Anamorphic modes included.The screen brightness is wonderful: I took pictures of the monitor in the worst and most unpresentative surroundings possible: sun blazing behind your back around midday, and still had no problems seeing what's happening even without a hood! You can see that my BMPCC4K:s own screen is almost unusably dark in that environment but had no problems seeing what happens on C7:s big screen.Will absolutely recommend for: tripod or shoulder rig shoots, stream monitoring, focus puller or directors screenPros:-Touch controls-Color scopes and metrics-Screen brightness-Surprisingly efficient battery life for a screen this bright and bigPro/con-This is not a screen for hand held shooting -> shoulder rig definitely recommended (stick with 5" in HH)Cons-A little bit plasticy but still feels durable and high quality

I'm very surprised with the quality and especially performance of Andycine C7 monitor. It is big and bright. First of all the image it produces is crisp and bright. Size of display allows to turn on parades, vector-scope plus histogram and still comfortably frame your shots. The picture in the monitor is very clear and bright. Pictures above were taken in harsh sunlight and you can see the difference between Andycine C7 monitor and EOS R built in display (which is one of the best you can get on DSLR/mirrorless cameras market). C7 is just 4-5 F-stops brighter. Built quality is OK, monitor is light. Attaching it to gimbal is easy and does not double the weight fo the rig. 3 programmable function buttons are a great feature and make life easy. OSD is easy to use, touch screen is responsive and fast. Video features like zebras, false colors, focus assist are similar to A6 plus, work great and allows to really precisely expose and sharpen your image.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and can recommend it to anyone.

This is the perfect field monitor for the Panasonic GH4 (or any DSLR or Mirrorless camera.)One special feature that no other field monitor in this price range has is the incredible performance outside in direct sunlight. The screen is so unbelievably bright outside it makes it easy to film scenes under sunlight. See the attached photos on this review that show the brightness of the Andycine X7 outside in the sun, and compare it to the LCD screen on my Panasonic GH4. The GH4's LCD screen is very dim when sunlight hits it, but the Andycine monitor stays super bright which will be so helpful when filming an outdoor scene.

First thing, wow this monitor is super bright in the midday sun!! My main reason for purchase was it's 2200 nits. Compared to my other 7" monitor this blows it away in that regard. It's definitely a nice size also, 7" seems to be my preferred monitor size these days no matter what rig i'm using. Build is nice, it's lightweight and most importantly easy to use. Customizable buttons on top also help a lot when operating quickly. I do most of my work shooting outdoors so this is a no-brainer. Has all the features you need too like false color, LUTs, all the scopes, anamorphic etc etc...some competitors may have slightly more rugged feel, but how can you beat the price point of this monitor? Definitely recommend this to anyone shooting video...loving it!!

I love it! it's very intuitive and I really can't work with products that are not. I started using it to shoot online classes and my Youtube videos. When I film myself in front of the computer I have no way to see the liveview on my camera. I used to work with a big TV monitor but it's not as easy to use as a small monitor mounted on top of the camera. I can also mount my lav mic receiver on the bracket that comes with it! The interface is basic but easy to use. And there is a lot more features I haven't even tried yet! I also love the fact I can use Canon batteries to power it, since I have tons of them already!

I wanted a monitor with a touch screen that was easy to use and that was affordable. That's my main criteria for almost any product, and I have to say that this monitor certainly delivers. I was not expecting it to be as easy as it is. The main thing that I like is the touch screen and how responsive it is. I can increase or decrease the brightness simply by swiping up or down, I can access the menus simply by doubly tapping the screen, and as an added bonus I can magnify the screen the same way I would do on a smartphone. That makes getting your focus easy. Additionally all the main tools for video are in this thing - zebras, false colors, focus peaking, histogram, and of course a headphone jack. And you can also increase and decrease your headphone volume with a simple swipe too,this thing is pretty amazing.

It's revealing that this monitor doesn't even ship with a sun shade. Even in direct sunlight (see photos) — you won't need one! So much brighter than the camera's screen. Once you've used an ultra bright monitor like this one it's difficult to go back to using anything else.The Andycine C7 has a few unique feature we especially like. The monitor comes with an NP battery (you can never have too many!). It has a handy photo sensor on its top bezel enabling auto backlight brightness mode, so you won't have to change the setting if you are heading indoors and back outside often. The pixel-to-pixel zoom function is also really handy for cropping into the 4K image sent from your camera to check focus. You also get 1/4-20 mounting threads on three sides for various rigging options.This touchscreen is also well thought out. You can change the backlight brightness or volume level by just dragging up or down on either side of the screen. And adjusting menu settings is quicker with touch than it is with multiple button presses (but that option is also available). For an affordable option the setup also looks pretty slick.

Just got here on time! I have a wedding shoot tomorrow and it just came in time and I tested it out and it works right out of the box without any settings. Plug and play. Light weight and very clear. I couldn't find one that is 1080p on this price that works as I wanted, this one does. I already have the battery since I already have multiple LED light that uses the same battery and it works. It uses the Sony camcorder battery that's easy to find.

I have a camera that I use to take photos mostly outdoor, but as you can see, the screen is small and dark. Not ideal if you like to check your work right away for any flaws. So I was looking at options for portable monitor which could be used for that exact purpose. My criteria for the monitor was resolution, brightness, and size. Although bigger the better, a standard photo print size is more applicable IMO.I decided to give C7 a shot, and boy I am in love with my new gadget. The first reaction I got when I turn on the screen was "Geez that's bright." Then I had to lower the brightness by more than 50 indoor to protect my eyes haha. When I was testing it outdoor on a sunny day, I find it very comfortable to look at with 80 to 90 brightness. The 4K screen beats the little crappy screen on the camera hands down. Also, I have noticed the screen is non-glare, I can comfortably see the pictures without shielding the screen, like I always had to with any camera, even my iPhone.Very satisfied with it so far. I would update if I find anything else worth sharing! :)

Took a gamble on purchasing this product. It turned out to be a handy gadget even for still photography. The larger screen enhances composition before shooting as well as reviewing after shot. Highly recommend it for photography studio works.

This really is a top of the line monitor. If you are debating between brands and models then I want you to know I strongly recommend this one. Works great with my a6500. I was having some issues at first but ANDYCINE's customer support got back to me within a couple of hours and was able to help me figure everything out.
